Shinkyokushin Karate 360 White Belt

Curriculum: (Note that 2 stripes will be awarded for each colour. Each stripe denotes half of the curriculum for each colour level) Once all stripes have been obtained the student is ready to participate in the grading for their orange belt. Please note that all stripes will need to be removed prior to the grading as this stripe system is not part of the standard Shinkyokushin curriculum. Orange Stripe: General: "Osu" upon entering and leaving the dojo and in response to commands. Ability to make and maintain a fist. Stance: Fudo Dachi Blue Stripe: General: Responds appropriately to directions in class Stance: Kumite Dachi, Kumite Dachi Techniques: Basic punches, basic kicks (not including Mawashi Geri) Yellow Stripe Stance: Sanchin Dachi Techniques: Mawashi Geri, basic blocks Green Stripe General: Ability to tie own belt Ido Geiko: Zenkutsu Dachi: Oi Tsuki, Gyaku Tsuki, Mae Geri Brown Stripe Ido Geiko - Zenkutsu Dachi: Mae Keriage, Jodan Uke Ido Geiko - Kumite Dachi: Oi Tsuki + Gyaku Tsuki combination Techniques: Knife hand strikes Kata: Taikyoku Sono Ichi Black Stripe Kata: Taikyoku Sono Ni Demonstrates adequate proficiency in Kumite
